The mandate of Aralanet Education Department is to bring free education for all, anywhere and anytime.
Its e-government directive is "to use information technologies (such as Wide Area Networks, the Internet, and mobile computing) that have the ability to transform relations with citizens, businesses, and other arms of government. These technologies can serve a variety of different ends: better delivery of government services to citizens, improved interactions with business and industry, citizen empowerment through access to information, or more efficient government management. The resulting benefits can be less corruption, increased transparency, greater convenience, revenue growth, and/or cost reductions."
The goal is an integrated application and database system that share standard-based business procedures, data elements, and transaction applications to serve the information, learning and service requirements of the organization's multiple stakeholders, clients, and internal users; and that can be securely accessed anywhere and anytime, and able to inter-operate with other organization's data and applications.
The implementation approach is "software as-a-service" that involved hosted web applications and databases.
The applications and databases are fully secured, and only the duly registered and authenticated users are able to use the assigned applications and data stores that are accessible through the Internet and in the department's intranet.
